B H U T A N BHUTAN - 7 NIGHTS / 8 DAYS
Day 1: Arrival to Paro; and Travel to Thimpu. Explore Thimpu town . Overnight stay at Thimpu.
Day 2: Thimphu Sightseeing. Visit Kuensel Phodrang (Buddha Statue) on the top of the Kuensel Phodrang, National Memorial Chorten (Monument) & Folk Heritage Museum. Afternoon visit Sangaygang View Point, Changangkha Monastery, Takin Preserve Centre. In the evening visit Tashichho Dzong (Fortress of the Glorious Religion). Overnight stay at Thimphu. Day 3: Travel to Punakha/Wangdue Sightseeing. On the way, stop at Dochu-La-Pass (3150 mts.) to view the higher Himalayas. After reaching Punakha, visit Punakha Dzong (Palace of Great Happiness) - built in 1637 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. Then hiking to visit the Chhimi Lhakhang - The Temple (The Temple of Fertility) , that was built by Lama Drukpa Kuenley (The Devine Mad Man). Overnight stay at Punakha / Wangdue.
Day 4: Excursion to Gangtey (Phobjikha - 9,840 ft.) valley - Home of Black Necked Crane. Also visit Gangtey Gompha. Overnight stay at Punakha / Wangdue. Day 5: Travel to Paro (7,483 ft.). On the way, stop at Lamperi to visit Royal Botanical Park. After reaching, visit Ta Dzong - National Museum (excellent collection of arts, relics, religious thangkha, etc). and Rinpung Dzong (Fortress of the heap of jewels). Overnight stay at Paro.
Day 6: Paro Sightseeing. After breakfast, 2 hours hiking to the famous Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest). Later, visit Drukgyel Dzong & Kyichu Monastery. Overnight stay at Paro.
Day 7: Excursion to Chele-La-Pass (13,088 ft.) – the highest motorable road and enjoy the scenic beauty & memorable landscapes. Overnight stay at Paro. Day 8: Depart from Paro.
