The Spice Tree in Munnar was a particular favourite where the staff went out of their way to make our stay special. We also wanted to make a special mention for Mr Roy, our driver. This trip involved a lot of driving and often on steep, water logged and dangerous roads. We were able to trust our safety in his hands and found him to be very reliable and courteous. He did everything he could to make our trip enjoyable, often suggesting and taking us to interesting stops en route. On days when he was not required we were able to call on him at short notice should we have needed to do so. As you can imagine we have many, many beautiful photos and our lovely momentos (special gifts care of Alok) to keep the memories alive and will hopefully be able to start planning our 35th anniversary to a different part of India very soon!
