T U N I S I A TUNISIA - 8 NIGHTS / 9 DAYS

Day 1: Arrival to Tunis, Tunisia. Rest of the day at leisure and overnight stay. Day 2: Visit the National Bardo Museum, Medina de Tunis, Bab El Bahr (Porte de France / Sea Gate), Beautiful buildings - the Dar Othman, Dar Ben Abdallah and Tourbet el Bey. Later visit the Zitouna Mosque, Medersa Slimaniya School . Overnight stay in Tunis.

Day 3: Day trip to Carthage and Sidi Bou Said – Visit the Punic Tophet Burial site, Amphitheater and Water cisterns. Enjoy Byrsa hill which includes cathedral, museum, and various ruins. Later visit lovely coastal town in Sidi Bou Said. Overnight stay in Tunis.   Day 4: Visit Ichkeul National Park via Bizerte Lovely port city. Visit the Kasbah of Bizerte and The Ichkeul lake and Wetland and enjoy migratory birds like ducks, geese, storks and pink flamingoes and otters, buffalos, porcupines and mongooses. Overnight stay in Tunis.

Day 5: Travel to Sousse. Visit the Medina of Sousse, Great Mosque of Sousse, Sousse Archaeological Museum, Medina Park. Overnight stay in Sousse.   Day 6: Visit the El Djem Roman Amphitheater. Travel to Kairouan and overnight stay.

Day 7: Visit the Medina of Kairouan - 9th Century Great Mosque of the Three Gates, Zaouia Sidi Abid al Ghariani Tomb, Bir Barrouta. Overnight stay in Kairouan.

Day 8: Day trip to Dougga Roman city – Visit the Roman Theater, Baths, Roads, Forum, Market place, arches, the Mausoleum of Ateban and other major buildings. Visit Bulla Regia and explore the unique Roman archeological site as many of its houses were built with one underground floor for the hot summers. Overnight stay in Tunis. Day 9: Departure from Tunis, Tunisia.
